
Have you ever noticed how your body reacts before your mind catches up?
You’re scrolling through social media, and you see a post that makes your stomach twist.
You get an unexpected message from a friend, and your chest feels light, even before you’ve read the words.
Or you’re sitting quietly, and a memory rises, bringing tears you didn’t expect.
These aren’t random. They’re your body’s way of saying, “Hey, something just landed. Can you feel it?” What I’ve come to understand—through my own journey and the work I now share—is that our bodies are always responding to the energy around us. The people we talk to, the places we go, the words we hear, even our own thoughts—it all carries energy. And when that energy reaches us, our body feels it first. That’s what we often call emotion. But here’s the thing: Emotion is the sensation in your body. The feelings? They come next—the story we tell ourselves about the sensation. For so long, I tried to think my way through emotions—label them, analyse them, push them away. But what if we didn’t have to fix anything? What if we just had to feel it, notice it, and let it guide us?

This is part of a bigger way of looking at ourselves—one that sees each area of life (your body, mind, emotions, relationships, and more) as a petal on a flower. When one petal is out of balance, the whole flower feels it. But when we start to tend to the signals our body sends, we can begin to rebalance, gently, from the inside out.
